Cultivating self-care through meditation, yoga, nature time, writing in my journal – these practices help me appreciate my body for all that it is capable of versus how it looks. Surrounding myself with social circles that uplift my whole being has been invaluable too.
This inner and social nourishment enables me to care for my body with compassion rather than criticism. I’m able to tune out toxic diet talk and remember that health is so much more than a number on the scale. Our bodies do so much for us – they deserve love, not loathing. With some self-kindness and help from time-tested traditions, our path to holistic wellness widens.
